Hulland & Larsen Construction Ltd. is a small design/build firm. We have been building custom homes in the Kootenay Lake region of the BC interior for the past 10 years. Focusing on 2-3 major projects annually allows the managing partners who built our company to be directly engaged in designing, and building your home.
We run small crews of talented carpenters. There will be familiar faces active on your site from start to finish.
We believe that a whole house construction methodology leaves less room for redundancy and error while greatly improving both the quality and affordability of our projects.
Our business is built on trust. When a secure relationship is formed with our clients, a dynamic design process begins. We underpin this with our understanding of the construction processes required to realize these designs. We have formed stable, long-term relationships with the subcontractors and suppliers that we rely on. These connections are critical to budgets and timelines being met.
As licensed builders, we endorse and insure all of the materials and workmanship that goes into our projects. We will work closely with you to ensure you get a quality home that fits your budget.
Will is a lifelong Eastshore resident with 30 years of experience in construction. He learned his trade by working for, and with the previous generation of local builders. He began managing his own projects in 2000 and co-founded Hulland & Larsen Construction in 2013.
Peter apprenticed in a family-owned cabinetry company in Vancouver. He moved to the Kootenays in the 90s to raise his family. His diverse career path with chapters in millwork, fine woodworking, blacksmithing, and construction has produced a proficient designer and craftsman.
